Best Books to Movies in 2018



In most of the cases, books are always better than the movie. If you have read the book, the pleasure of watching the movie almost doubles as you get to see how the characters and the directors have managed to give justice to your imaginations. So here are some of the books that you need to hurry up and read before they hit the movie theatres in the year 2018.

4. Inferno

Inferno Bantam PressThis is the fourth book in the Robert Langdon Series by Dan Brown. Though there is no particular order to read these books, so even if you have not picked up the previous books of this serious, you would have no problem whatsoever.

Robert Langdon is in a hospital with Amnesia, so obviously he has no idea how he got there. This time around, Robert finds himself in Italy with people trying to take his life. This book centers around Dante’s famous art: Inferno.

And to find the mystery behind Dante’s masterpiece, Robert finds himself trying to save the world while navigating secret passageways, decoding cryptic codes, going through classic art pieces while deciding who is trustworthy and who is not.

5. Miss Peregrine’s Home for peculiar children

This children of this orphanage had special talents. When Jacob was young, he used to believe the stories that his grandfather told him, even though his parents told him they were just fabricated. But as he grows up, his faith in these stories starts to dwindle.

One day his grandfather dies, and Jacob thinks he saw something. But he does not want to believe or even acknowledge what he saw. But then, his life gets interrupted by a letter his grandfather had left him, which takes him to the island on which the orphanage was once built.

The book contains black and white pictures and it is not exactly a horror story, but it is horror cum mystery cum eerie.

6. Far From The Maddening Crowd

7. Frankenstein

frankensteinFrankenstein was written by Mary Shelley when she was just eighteen years old. It is incredible that at such a young age she has managed to capture and bring together different genres like passionate romance, gothic thriller and a tale of dangers of science.

Victor Frankenstein is a science student who is obsessed with figuring out how life was generated and wishes to bestow life to lifeless matter. So, he starts collecting human body parts, once he has all the parts, he assembles them and manages to bring it to life. But it is only after this that he realises that he has created a hideous creature.

And in turn the creature, who is tormented by loneliness and isolation, becomes evil and now wishes to gain freedom by killing the creator, Frankenstein. The book compels the reader to think on what is life and what is human? Is just being alive in a human body makes you a human or is there something more “human”?

8. Mockingjay

9. The Longest Ride

The Longest RideNicholas Sparks is the King of Romance. Each of his book has a different and a refreshing story line.

In the longest road, Ira Levinson, a 90 year old finds himself on an isolated island due to a car crash. Alone and in poor health, Ira struggles to remain conscious. The crash has left him badly injured. The only comfort that he gets is when he hears his wife, Ruth, urges him to hang on and live. In order to help him she begins recounting stories from their life.

Oh, by the way, did I mention that Ruth died nine years before the car crash?

This is a story of two couples, separated from each other, and how their love still manages to seep through when all else seems gone.

10. Insurgent
