I met one my friends after a long time. Luckily, we both love watching movies. When we guys met instead of asking “How are you?” we asked each other “Which movie you saw last?”

The User Interface is clean and fast loading on PotPlayer. Moreover, It’s user-friendly and easy to understand and use. On the other side, VLC’s UI, when compared to PotPlayer, is a little difficult to understand and use because at times it gets confusing to access all the features.
3. Software Support Platforms
Here VLC Player is a clear winner as the software is quite old and that is why they support all the major platforms like Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android. However, Potplayer being new in the market needs to work on this as currently they only offer supports for Windows platform which is a huge downside as of now.
4. Extensibility
With VLC you get a plugin in Mozilla/Firefox so that you can directly watch and stream movies from your browser. However, on Potplayer you will not see any such support available they are yet to come up with the support of multiple OS.
5. File Download Size
Talking about the file size of both the software VLC is a 37 MB software whereas Potplayer is 23.5 MB. So if you are tight on space in your system, then Potplayer will help you save some of it.

It’s a tough decision to make as both the video players are best in their zones. Talking about the main purpose for which both the tools are made that is video playing. Well, both the tools are doing a pretty good job in video playing. So, if you are looking for a player just to watch the video then you can download any of the both doesn’t matter.
However, if you are someone who looks into small details just the way I’m doing than hands down Potplayer is something I’d recommend you to go for. I know it’s new and supports only Windows but soon the tool will support all the major platforms. Potplayer supports all the video and audio files plus it’s less in size and easy to use. Being a user, we are always looking for a complete tool, and I think Potplayer is fulfilling all our needs.
