Your Pc ran into a problem that it couldn't handle and now it needs to restart.1 (1)

I too faced the same situation when bought my Windows 8.1 laptop and then upgraded to the Windows 10 OS. Frankly, I was thinking to reinstall the previous version again and not search the web. But when I went for the opposite of this, I really found this interesting. So I decided to write a guide to fix such error and help other Windows users like me.

What is the error of “attempted_execute_of_noexecute_memory”?

Each Operating system has two predefined areas:

  1. Non-executable
  2. Executable

The non-executable area is that in which the memory used to store the user data, and in the executable portion, the programs are allowed to compile and run.

After you install a new OS or upgrade the old one, then the initialization process starts automatically. This we all know. At the time when the device driver tries to execute a program or service from a non-executable area of the system memory during initialization, the Blue Screen error of attempted execute of noexecute memory occurs.

This mainly happens due to the faulty driver which attempts to run the program from the non-executable area. Sometimes the fault in RAM (Random Access Memory) also becomes the reason for this BSOD error which also called as ‘Windows STOP 0x000000FC.’ When your system faces this issue, it gets reboot or shutdown to prevent any damage.

Now, let’s check the process to solve this problem.

There are several ways to fix the STOP 0x000000FC error like using RAM to repair the files, updating or removing faulty drivers, maintaining the health of your PC, etc.

Solution-1: Use RAM to repair the Corrupt Files & Programs

Check if your system memory is working correctly or not. You can take help of “Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool” for doing this.

  1. Open the run dialog box by pressing Windows + R
  2. Type mdsched.exe in the box and press Enter
  3. The dialog box will appear asking to restart your PC now or later to run the program; you can choose as per your preference
  4. After the program starts, run the scan by following the instructions
  5. When the scan completes, the checking results will be shown on your display

Error (1)

If it shows that the memory is faulty, then you should replace it as soon as possible to prevent the damage. If the result indicates that the RAM is working properly, then go for the next solution below.

Solution-2: Update the Faulty Driver

If the RAM is good, then there may be one or more faulty drivers in the system causing the “attempted execute of noexecute memory Windows 10” error. You can check it by using official site. Check whether you have installed the latest driver version or not, especially for video devices and chipsets. If the version is old, then update it or uninstall the current one and add the latest drivers in your system.

There are some utility software available too for checking and updating system drivers. If you not have an internet connection or do not want to go on the web for repairing drivers, then you can take help of such reliable programs.

Solution-3: Repair your System

Regularly scanning and maintaining your system also helps to prevent such BSOD errors. You may take help of registry cleaner software or optimizers to remove registry errors and other unwanted corrupted files. Sometimes viruses or malware infect the installed files, so using such third party software can help to repair or remove such programs.

Maintain your PC

The methods mentioned here will help to solve the problem of “attempted execute of noexecute memory” not only in Windows 10, but also other OS like Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or other versions.

Many people get frustrated when they see an error message, especially of a BSOD after installing a new OS or program on their system. They do the same process of removing or installing the OS or just go to the nearby PC repairing shop and pay some bucks for the thing they could sort out at home quickly! You can find a plenty of technical solutions online for the errors or problems you got on your computing system which can save your time and money both. So keep patience and try to solve such errors on your own. If nothing works, then you still have options to take the way mentioned at the start of this para.
